The <abbr>OER<\/abbr> explains what the accessibility issues are and how to fix them (including source code).<br>\nIn addition to a <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0B9GyZ3n5dNZ4Wk1aRW9PTFNoS3c\/view\">Microsoft Word document<\/a>, the <abbr>OER<\/abbr> also provides some <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/folderview?id=0B9GyZ3n5dNZ4Y19hRkwtMXJWOXc&amp;usp=sharing\">other resources<\/a>: screenshots of both examples, the output of the <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Screen reader&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Software program that enables a blind person to get information from the screen through synthetic speech, Braille or both, and that goes beyond pure text-to-speech software because it also reads user interface elements such as navigational features and menus.&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/moocap.gpii.de\/?glossary=screen-reader\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>screen reader<\/a> VoiceOver for both examples, and <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Transcript&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Text alternative for audio or video containing a correctly sequenced transcription of the speech, and descriptions of non-speech sounds and (in the case of a video) key visual information in the media resource.&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/moocap.gpii.de\/?glossary=transcript\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>transcript<\/a> of the screen reader output (for the hard of hearing). <\/p>\n<p>Like our previous <abbr>OER<\/abbr>s, these resources are available under the <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by\/4.0\/\">CC-BY 4.0 licence<\/a>, which allows a very liberal use of the materials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In our series of Open Educational Resources (OERs), we are today publishing a &#x201C;before and after&#x201D; example of a web form: the &#x201C;before&#x201D; example has several accessibility issues, which are fixed in the &#x201C;after&#x201D; example.
